VECTRIX JAPAN signs a collaboration agreement with Nalnet Communications, Techno Tree, and other partner companies.
2 October 2023
VECTRIX JAPAN Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “VECTRIX” Representative Director: Fumiaki Yamagishi) announced on October 1st the launch of the small commercial EV “I-Cargo,” which is expected to be an effective solution to the last mile and the “2024 problem.” In conjunction with the launch of the product, we have partnered with Narunet Communications Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Narunet Communications” Representative Director: Takashi Suzuki) and Technotree Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Technotree” Representative Director: Takeo Kinoshita) to provide after-sales services mainly for maintenance. We have started a partnership to build a support system. We will build a nationwide after-sales support system that leverages the specialized fields of each company. In addition, in conjunction with the recently announced collaboration agreement with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (Tokio Marine & Nichido President and CEO: Shinichi Hirose), we will provide services that will allow customers to use I-Cargo more safely and securely. We will continue to build it.
Furthermore, the strength of this after-sales support system is that the replacement parts we provide are stored and shipped within Japan, allowing us to provide a stable supply without being affected by import conditions. Along with providing service manuals to factories, we will work to clarify and streamline operations and improve convenience for users.
[Thick support system that eliminates concerns about operating commercial EVs]
“I-Cargo”, which went on sale yesterday, October 1st, is a completely new small commercial EV that is neither a motorcycle nor a car, and is expected to play an active role in the logistics industry and elsewhere. However, since it is a new category of mobility product that has not yet been introduced, it is true that some users may feel a little uneasy, especially when it comes to maintenance.
The “Vectrix After-Sales Support” system was established to solve this problem, and is made up of leading companies in their respective fields in the automobile category. We believe that our nationwide network and the wealth of knowledge we have accumulated over the years will provide peace of mind for users who are introducing small EVs into their work for the first time. Specifically, Nalnet Communications will be responsible for building a “maintenance network” based on 11,500 affiliated maintenance factories nationwide where users can receive repairs and maintenance with peace of mind.
Techno Tree is in charge of producing service manuals and instruction manuals for users to provide to the maintenance factory network, providing technical support such as providing knowledge to maintenance factories, technical guidance, and seminars, and actively promoting system DX. We will proceed to. We also envision that roadside assistance that is required in the event of an unexpected accident or breakdown, etc. for I-Cargo will be supported by the network of partner companies. Through these efforts, in the future we will build a service network equivalent to that of four-wheeled vehicles, and provide domestic users with a support system that they can use with peace of mind.
Additionally, as announced the other day, we have entered into a collaboration agreement with Tokio Marine & Nichido, with the aim of building a long-term coexistence with Tokio Marine & Nichido and building a new mobility business model. We aim to build a service that allows you to use “I-Cargo” safely.
